It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Dorothy Jowers of Douglas, Georgia, who passed away at the age of 88, on December 12, 2020. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Johnson and Eula Mae Johnson; her former husband Rev. Freeman O'Steen; and her brothers, Johnny Johnson (Blondine), Braxton Johnson (Onita), Russell Johnson, Paul Johnson and C. A. Johnson.
She is survived by: her husband Paul Jowers; her children, Pat Guthrie, Jackie Spivey (John) and Stanley O'Steen (Peggy); her stepson Dewey Jowers (Carrie); her grandchildren, Jason O'Steen, Melinda Spivey, Chad Guthrie (Tonia), Lovey Stone, Ashley Spivey (Rachel), April Henderson (Clayton), Warren Jowers and Nicholas Jowers; and her great grandchildren, Carter O'Steen, Keaton O'Steen, Connor Spivey, Brant Spivey, Jadyn Guthrie, Jarrod Gaff, Amber Gaff, Hallee Spivey, Harlee Spivey, Brody Spivey, Graham Henderson, Logan Stone (Amber) and Reanna Porter (Mathew). She is also survived by many other great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many other family members.
Due to COVID-19, Sims Funeral Home Inc. will require all guests and attendees to wear appropriate medical grade face-masks and maintain social distancing at all times while visiting our facility, and highly encouraged at our services outside of our facility.
