She was predeceased by: her parents, Miles Harrell and Lucy Lott Harrell; her former husband Alfred Tanner; her husband Milton "Peter" Lewis; her son Carl Tanner; and her stepson Jimmy Lewis.
She is survived by: her son Wayne Tanner (Melinda) of Douglas, GA; her stepdaughter Judy Sturgis (Wendell) of Ambrose, GA; her grandchildren, Jonathan Tanner (Brittney) of Hahira, GA, Michelle Tanner of Douglas, GA and Jason Tanner of Douglas, GA; and her stepgrandchildren, Alicia Schramm (Brandon) of Port Orange, FL, Jana Grizzard (Alex) of Athens, GA and Jamie Lewis (Leslie) of Danielsville, GA. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
