He is survived by: his parent Mary Lott O'Steen; his sons, Clay O'Steen of Douglas, GA and Adam Jerome O'Steen (Alysha) of Douglas, GA; and his brothers, James "Doc" O'Steen of West Point, GA, Bobby O'Steen of South Carolina and Kenneth "Pap" O'Steen of Valdosta, GA. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and several great grandchildren; several nieces.
