It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jose Ramon Ortiz (Douglas, Georgia), born in Tucson, Arizona, who passed away on May 23, 2020, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ramon Garcia Ortiz and Refugia Ormsby Ortiz; his wife Juanell Jewell Ortiz; his son Emilio Ortiz; and his brother Larry Chaboya.
He is survived by: his children, Joy O. Smith (Ricky) of Ambrose, GA, Camellia O. Spivey (Stanley) of Douglas, GA and Reinaldo Ortiz (Louise) of Douglas, GA; and his siblings, Gilbert Ortiz of Anaheim, CA and Norma Ortiz Berrellez of Riverside, CA. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Due to the Coronavirus attendees are asked to comply with the current guidelines and restrictions concerning containment of the Coronavirus, including social distancing of six feet separation.
