He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Jewell and Sarah Mizell Jewell; his siblings, Isom Jewell, Edwin Jewell, Buford Jewell, Bob Jewell, Curlon Jewell, Carroll Jewell, Talmadge Jewell, Billy Jewell, Lillian Morris, Ruby Waldron, Gladys Roberts, Juanelle Ortiz and Mary Jewell; his grandson Josh Courson; and his great grandchild Madelyn Spires.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Durrance Jewell; his children, Richard Jewell (Brandi) of Douglas, GA, Jody Jewell (Donna) of Douglas, GA, Jason Jewell (Angie) of Douglas, GA, Sarah Morrison (Jimmy) of Douglas, GA, Serena Guerrero (Pascual) of Douglas, GA and Mary Vilchis (Damian) of Douglas, GA; his sister Dorothy Crosby of Douglas, GA; and his nephew Jake Mizell. He is also survived by 21 Grandchildren, 36 Great-Grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
