He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael "Pete" Strickland and Bertha Paulk Strickland; and his brothers, Michael Carroll Strickland and Danny Spivey. He is survived by: his wife Rose Mary Cook Strickland of Douglas, GA; his children, Lisa Folsom (Daren) of Douglas, GA and Joseph "Joey" Strickland of Douglas, GA; his brothers, Danny Strickland (Lucretia) of Douglas, GA and Jimmy Spivey (Jenny) of Douglas, GA; and his grandchildren, Donavan Folsom of Douglas, GA and Rayleigh Strickland of Hazlehurst, GA. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
