He was predeceased by: his parent Jerry Benton; and his brother Lamar Benton. He is survived by: his mother Leah Rivers Benton of Douglas, GA; his siblings, Lance Benton of Ringgold, GA and Laura Scheelar of Ringgold, GA; and his nephew Zachery Scheelar.
