With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Kathleen Cowart (Douglas, Georgia), born in Alamo, Georgia, who passed away on August 29, 2018 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parent Joseph Jackson Cooper; and her husband Carroll Cowart, Sr.. She is survived by: her parent Mamie Frances Martin Cooper; her children, Jo C. Cato (Bob) of Marietta, GA and William Carroll Cowart, Jr.; her wife India Cowart of Warner Robins, GA; her grandchildren, Ben Cato, Shayna Brown, Meghan Bentley (Micah) and Dawson Cowart; and also Raymond Allen Cowart of Acworth, GA. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church Pre-School.
