Laverne was predeceased by: parents, Jessie James Whitley and Ethel Carver Whitley; and son James Timothy Cliett. Laverne is survived by: daughters, Judy Pridgen (Larry) of Pridgen, GA and Carolyn Vaughn (Mitchell) of Douglas, GA; and siblings, Carl Whitley of Nicholls, GA, Lonnie Whitley of Nicholls, GA, Mitchell Whitley of Douglas, GA, Gertie Bellenbaum of Nahunta, GA and Sandie Patten of Douglas, GA. Laverne is also survived by fourteen grandchildren, thirty-nine great grandchildren and eighteen great great grandchildren.
