It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Linda Stapleton of Douglas, Georgia, born in Pearson, Georgia, who passed away on January 17, 2021, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Tom K. Stapleton; and her brothers, Willie McGovern and Tom McGovern. She is survived by: her children, Charles Stapleton (Debra) of Douglas, GA, Jimmy Stapleton (Melissa) of Blackshear, GA and Ellen Pope (Jerry) of Douglas, GA; and her sister Edwina Taylor of Brunswick, GA. She is also survived by six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and many special friends.
