She was predeceased by: her parents, Daniel Williard Cady and Beadie Mae Morgan Cady; her husband Melvin Hursey; her daughters, Melva Brown and Sherri Hursey; and her brother David Cady.
She is survived by: her daughters, Katherine Elaine Chaney (Gene) of Douglas, GA and Lynn Hersey (Dody) of Douglas, GA; her siblings, Randolph Cady, Daniel Cady of Axson, GA, Joann Meeks of West Green, GA and Willie Mae Bolton of Douglas, GA; her grandchildren, Peter Brown, Michael "Bull" Brown, Gina Burke, Shane Chaney, Cody Hersey and Kaylee Fuller; her great grandchildren, Sheala Brown, Laykin Brown, Maggie Brown, Mollie Brown, Chelsea Burke, Nathan Burke, Hannah Chaney, Levi Chaney, Brittany Harrell, Brayden Hersey and Karli Jo Hersey; and her great great grandchild Kayson Howell. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
