With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lurlyne Stevens of Douglas, Georgia, who passed away on November 29, 2020 at the age of 82. She was predeceased by: her parents, Austin Cox and Oppie Lee Yarberry Cox; her husband Johnny Carroll Stevens; her daughter Vera Denise Drummond; and her brother J. D. Cox.
She is survived by: her children, Jackie Hathaway of Douglas, GA and Steve Carroll Stevens (Debra) of Douglas, GA; her siblings, Bonnie Harrell of Douglas, GA, Montez Bennett of Cordele, GA and Larry John Cox of Douglas, GA; and her grandchildren, Stuart Arnold, David Drummond, Kyle Courson, Brandon Courson and Casey Stevens. She is also survived by eleven great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
