With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Merrell Jewell of Douglas, Georgia, who passed away on September 23, 2021 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Isom Jewell and Oneda Phillips Jewell; his grandson John Jewell; and his siblings, Harvey Jewell, Bernice Crosby and Barbara Jean Knight.
He is survived by: his wife Myrna Jewell of Douglas, GA; his sons, Isom Craig Jewell of Douglas, GA and Merrill Travis Jewell of Douglas, GA; his stepson Rodney Neal Peterson (Pamela) of Douglas, GA; and his grandchildren, Clayson Jewell, Dean Jewell, Braxton Jewell, Kayli Jewell, Deign Jewell, Anslee Jewell, Asher Jewell, Swann, Savannah Torres, Kirk Peterson and Kollin Peterson. He is also survived by 13 great grandchildren; 2 brothers and 4 sisters; several nieces, nephews cousins and other relatives.
