He was predeceased by: his parents, Hubert Carter and Janie Carver Carter; and his siblings, Peggy Ann Carter and Norman Carter. He is survived by: his wife Janice Smith Carter of Douglas, GA; his children, Orville Brent Carter and Lorrinda Johnson (Stanley) of Broxton, GA; his grandchildren, Keven Johnson (Laila) of Douglas, GA, Adam Johnson of Douglas, GA and Cody Rowe of Douglas, GA; and his great grandchildren, Jace Johnson, Samuel Rowe and Lyna Johnson.
