He was predeceased by: his parents, Phillip DeWillis Hurd, Sr. and Peggy Carol Seagraves Hurd; and his wife Lavonda Lee Stroud Hurd. He is survived by: his daughter Grace Key (Chris) of Douglas, GA; his grandchildren, Justin Garrett Hurd of Brunswick, GA, Jonathan McMillan of Douglas, GA, Joseph McMillan (Shiann) of Douglas, GA and Emma Grace Key; and his nephew Paris Moore (Troy).
