He was predeceased by: his parents, Wayne Ansel and Ruth Ann Stobbs Nartel; his grandson Jacob Ansel; and his brothers, James Ansel and Fred Ansel.
He is survived by: his wife Debra Ansel of Douglas, GA; his children, Ricky Ansel Jr. of Lewiston, Michael Ansel of Douglas, GA, Mathew Ansel of Douglas, GA and Pamela Bonesteel of Ohio; his grandchildren, Landon Ansel, Jayden Ansel, Alex Ansel, Chenice Bonesteel and Chris Bonesteel; his great grandchildren, Jaiden Rodriquez and Karson Rodriquez; and his sisters-in-law, Dora Ansel and Elizabeth Ansel. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
