It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Hickerson of Douglas, Georgia, born in Galesburg, Illinois, who passed away on January 6, 2021, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Houston Hickerson and Dorothy Burns Hickerson; his wife Shirley June Rogers Hickerson; and his brother Rodney Hickerson. He is survived by: his children, Richard Dale Hickerson of Douglas, GA, Brenda Sue Moore of Beattyville, KY and Kathy Kay Johnson (Michael) of Sevierville, TN; and his grandchildren, Shawn Hickerson, Mike Kelly, Bryce Hickerson, Ashley Hickerson, Tori Hickerson and Levi Johnson. He is also survived by thirteen great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
