He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, R. L. Wood Sr. and Thelma Rutherford Wood; his wife Bettie Wood of Douglas, GA; his sons, Robert Wood of Douglas, GA and John Wood (Erica) of Gainesville, FL; and his grandchildren, Layla Wood and Everett Wood.
