He was predeceased by: his parents, Horace Mathews and Sally Luenell Vickers Mathews; his wife Debbie Dyal Mathews; and his brother Don Mathews. He is survived by: his children, Leslie Teston (Stacey) of Douglas, GA and Roy Chapman Mathews Jr. (Brittney) of Bainbridge, GA; his grandchildren, Mathew Kade Teston of Douglas, GA, Morgan Sallie Elizabeth Teston of Douglas, GA, Ramsey Elizabeth Mathews of Bainbridge, GA and Carlee Brock Mathews of Bainbridge, GA; and his brothers, John Mathews (Sue) of Douglas, GA and Dicky Horace Mathews of Broxton, GA. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
