We are sad to announce that on December 4, 2020, at the age of 52, Schannon Bookout of Douglas, Georgia passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Schannon Bookout to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parent Jerry Wayne Barrs; and her grandparents, James, Myrtice Cooper, Fred and Beadie Barrs.
She is survived by: her mother Sharon Lynn Cooper Barrs (Waylon) of West Green, GA; her husband Elbert Dwayne Bookout of Douglas, GA; her children, Breanna Hope Flanagan (Kameron) of Douglas, GA and Andrew James Bookout of Douglas, GA; her granddaughter Kambree Maelynn Flanagan of Douglas, GA; her siblings, Jerri Wynett Barrs (Steve) of Broxton, GA and Mike Lee of Valdosta, GA; her siblings' children, Shanlee Denise Batten (Ray) of Broxton and James Hunter Taylor; and her great-niece Natalee Brooke Dedmond.
Due to COVID-19, Sims Funeral Home Inc. will require all guests and attendees to wear appropriate medical grade face-masks and maintain social distancing at all times while visiting our facility, and highly encouraged at our services outside of our facility.
