He is survived by: his wife Evelyn Banks of Douglas, GA; his daughters, Linda Wright (Dennis) of Douglas, GA, Shirley Spivey (Jimmy Claude) of Douglas, GA and Angie Merritt (Kenneth); and his grandchildren, Jonathan Wright (Shanlee) of Douglas, GA, Amie Fussell (Chad) of Douglas, GA, Cristi Luke of Fitzgerald, GA, Clay Spivey (Melissa) of Douglas, GA, Chad Merritt of Douglas Ga, Erik Merritt (Nicole) of Douglas, GA, Grant Merritt (Blake Lee) of Douglas, GA and Katie Butts (Josh) of Willacoochee, GA. He is also survived by 12 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild; several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
