It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Benjamin Kolb of Douglasville, Georgia, born in Atlanta, Georgia, who passed away on June 30, 2020, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin Kolb and Laura Kolb. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Ratteree Kolb of Douglasville, GA; his daughters, Marion Wilson (Brent) of Woodstock, GA and Joy Mitchell (Tim) of Douglasville, GA; his sisters, Betty Ann Hopkins (Mark) of Douglasville, GA and Laura Jones (Danny) of Dahlonega, GA; and his grandchildren, Austin Wilson, Andrew Wilson, Katie Mitchell (Levi Smith) and Dawson Mitchell. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend their love and appreciation to everyone who will not be able to attend the service or visitation in person due to the states Covid-19 restrictions. (No more than 50 people inside the funeral home at one time).
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully asks that donations be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital or the Poplar Springs Baptist Church building fund in loving memory of Mr. Kolb.
