He was predeceased by: his parents, Louie Dean Hudson and Mildred Lee Houston Hudson; his wife Annie Ruth Webb Hudson; and his siblings, Allen Hudson, Cecil Mark Hudson, Samuel Joseph Hudson, Nina Delong and Gaynell Horton.

He is survived by: his children, Robert Stephen, Tonya Hudson of Rockwall, Donna Annette Hudson, Van Wing of Roswell, Stanley Webb Hudson of Wedowee and Jeffrey Scott Hudson of Douglasville, Georgia; his brother James H. Sr.; and his sister-in-law Hilde Hudson of Rome, Georgia. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
