She was predeceased by: her parents, Goose and Elizabeth Carney. She is survived by: her husband James R. Deal; her son James P. Spencer; her daughter-in-law Beth Bullock Spencer; her children, Susan K. Spencer and William T. Spencer; her granddaughter Lauren A. Bonet Spencer; her grandson-in-law David Bonet Montes; her great grandchild Ona D. Bonet Spencer; her grandson Zachary A. Smith (Paige Cook); and her nieces, Amy R. Thigpen (Lonnie) and Anna E. Poe (Robert). She is also survived by the children.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to St. Margaret's Episcopal Church.
