He was predeceased by : his parents, Dr. Alton Ramey and Thelma Garner Ramey. He is survived by : his wife Nancy Pearson Ramey; his daughters, Jennifer Waugh (Kacey) and Elizabeth Ostolski (Chris); his grandchildren, Kaden Crosser, Kinleigh Waugh, Katherine Ostolski and Adam Ostolski; and his siblings, Dianne Reynolds (Bill), Judy Witt (Lloyd), Jane Fowler (Lee) and Gene Ramey (Wanda).

“Something just made me think of Jimmy today after many many years. I looked him up and found the obituary. So sorry for your loss. Jimmy and I were shipmates in VAW125 on board the John F Kennedy CVA67. We were close but fell out of touch. He was in my wedding 51 years ago and my wife and I spent great times with him at his Dad’s place on lake Lanier. Rest in peace buddy. So sorry we didn’t keep in touch.
