She was predeceased by: her parents, Coleman James Ertzberger and Effie Spencer Womack; her husband James Doyle Starnes; her sons, Samuel Doyle Starnes and James David Starnes; and her siblings, Mary Starnes, Willie Lucille Starnes, Eva Leonard and Marvin Ertzberger.
She is survived by: her daughter Bertha Aaron (Billy) of Roanoke, VA; her daughters-in-law, Betty Starnes of Douglasville and Jo Starnes; and her son Gene Starnes (Brenda) of Douglasville. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, twenty seven great grandchildren, seventeen great great grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.
