He was predeceased by : his parents, Roy T. Hendrix and Eleanor Hendrix (Byce); his former life partner Lavinia Ward Hendrix; his grandparents, Burner and Lisa Byce; and his aunt Betty Byce.

He is survived by : his wife Karen Lindsey Hendrix; his sons, Timothy "Tim" Hendrix (Rebecca) and Jesse Hendrix (Courtney); his stepchildren, Brittani Miles and Joshua Norton (Stephanie); and his grandchildren, Emma Rose Norton, Aiden Hendrix and Austin Hendrix.
