She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Eugene and Jesse Marie Wynegar; her husband Junior Everette Kennedy; her son William Eugene Retterer; and her siblings, Carl Henry Wynegar, Billie Lee Wynegar, Dorothy Irene Slade and Catherine Louise Winters.

She is survived by: her daughter April Coffin; and her brother Charles Clifford Wynegar. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
