He was predeceased by: his parents, Loren Mitchell Gunter and Clara Gabrielle McCook Gunter; his wife Dorothy Sanders Rowden Gunter; and his brother William "Ted" Gunter. He is survived by: his children, Laura Gunter Post (Danny) and Marvin Todd Gunter (Cristy); his grandchildren, Andrew Scott Post (Brittany), Mason Todd Gunter, Katie Stitches, Katie Brooke Gunter and Abigail Lauren Post; his siblings, Ronald Gunter (Allison) and Claire Vaughn (L. T.); and his siblings-in-law, Bobby Rowden (Nancy) and Kay Heard (John). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
