She was predeceased by: her parents, Annette Cohen Nelson and Willie Nelson; her husband Herbert Stanley Pennicooke; her stepmother Doris Nelson; and her son-in-law Adegboyega Ademola Fasina-Thomas.
She is survived by: her children, Rita Fasina-Thomas of Douglasville and Cintron Pennicooke (Kathy) of Portland, Oregon; her grandchildren, Nicole Pennicooke of Winston, Sean Pennicooke of Puerto Rico, Richard Walker of Goose Creek, April Limon of Carrollton and Folasade Fasina-Thomas of Douglasville; and her great grandchildren, Knut Pennicooke, Anthony Fleming, Elvis Fleming, Leilany Pennicooke, Alexander Limon and London Limon.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Jones-Wynn Douglas Chapel (2189 Midway Rd, Douglasville, GA 30135).
