He was predeceased by: his mother Mari Jean Watson; his grandparents, Marvin, Ruth Watson, Merlin W. and Mary Lee Bright Maddox; and his uncle Keith E. Maddox.

He is survived by: his father Carey L. Maddox of East Dublin; his sister Katherine Wolfe (Mike) of Tennessee; and his aunt Rosemary Trifiletti (Robert) of East Dublin.
