He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell A. Addison and Willie Mae Cheek Addison; and his siblings, Rose Ellen Stamey, Braz Addison, Willie Jo Scott and Bob Addison.
He is survived by: his wife Peggy Ruth Akin Addison; his children, Gail (Stan McFarlin), James Addison (Sherry Estep), John (Freida Addison) and Melissa Jarrell (Buck Ashley); and also, Shannon, April McFarlin, Joshua, Lacy Addison, Drew, Shanna Addison, Jacob, Allison Addison, Trip, Ashley Addison, Lindsay Addison, Aaron French, Chandler Jarrell, Addison Jarrell, Amanda Richardson, Bud, Brittany Chatham, Alex and Will Louttit. He is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
