She was predeceased by: her parents, T. C. Burruss and Hattie LeCroy Burruss; her husband Joe Cooley; her friend Carl Chancey; and her sister Bettie Burruss Hicks.
She is survived by: her sister Terri Burruss Rueblinger (Larry); her brother-in-law Bill Hicks; and her sibling's children, Sherri Burruss, Jeff Burden (Gail) and Tom Hicks (Lori).
