With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sara Powers Smith of Eastanollee, Georgia, born in Toccoa, Georgia, who passed away on October 9, 2020 at the age of 94. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Sara Powers Smith to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Arnold Dean and Elzie Cheek Powers; her husband Buren Harold Smith; and her siblings, Margaret Summerville, John Powers (J. M.) and Harry Powers.
She is survived by: her son David B.; her daughter-in-law Jennifer Smith of Toccoa; her grandchildren, Chris, Ashle Doud, Rachel, Clint Sanders, Paul, Melissa Akins, Sharon Coker, Scott Coker, Jason Coker and Tyler Smith; her sister Ora Faith; and her brother-in-law Bill Hall of Knoxville, TN. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Due to the conditions concerning the health and well-being of our community, the family would appreciate those attending the service to wear a mask and to practice social distancing.
