He was predeceased by : his parents, Elizabeth Spitzer Watkins and Oscar Jackson Gibbs; his son Kurt Edward Gibbs; and his sisters, Ellen Moorhead, Betty McElroy and Lula Farmer.

He is survived by : his pets, Yuki and Maggie; his wife Domenica "Mecca" Gibbs of Eastman; his children, Debra Ann Keane (Dennis) of Virginia Beach, VA, Regina Maddox (Dennis) of Leesburg and Harold K. "Buddy" Gibbs (M. E.) of Eastman; his sister Rita Soleo of Pensacola, FL; his grandchildren, Jennifer Brown of Eastman, Josh Gibbs (Joanna) of Dallas, TX, Myra Yansom (Bud) of Kathleen, Domenick "Nick" Gibbs of Cochran, Matthew Keane (Julie) of Virginia Beach, VA, Sarah Keane (Andy) of Richmond, VA and Katie Keane (Jordan) of Sacramento, CA; and his great grandchildren, Makayla, Mia, Connor, Riley, Kaitlyn, Grayson and Numerous. He is also survived by Numerous Nieces and Nephews.
