She was predeceased by: her parents, Joe Ballew and Hazel Cantrell Ballew. She is survived by: her husband Jessie Spires of Eatonton; her children, Gerald Slaybaugh of Panama City, FL, Robert Slaybaugh of Macon, Jeanette Slaybaugh and Beatrice Prickett; and her stepdaughters, Sandra Lynn Luyo and Debra Spires. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Memorial Contributions to Lake Country Baptist Church, 1259 Crooked Creek Road, Eatonton, GA 31024.
