He was predeceased by: his father Wendell T. Brooks; and his grandparents, Thurman, Bessie Brooks, Ed and Mae Zuelke.
He is survived by: his mother Carol Brooks; his wife RoyNelle Durham Brooks; his daughter Breanna Elaine Brooks; his sister Brenda Cooley; his sibling-in-law Randi; his stepchildren, Eddie Thorne and Brittany; his stepgrandchildren, Sara Thorne and Jim; and also, Fred Montgomery, Mara and Hannah Rae Montgomery. He is also survived by seven great grandchildren; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
