He was predeceased by: his parents, Dazzy Kirkland (DE) and Annie Mae Kirkland; his wife Elizabeth Kirkland (Hammack); and his sister Ellie Mae Whatley. He is survived by: his children, Deborah and Jamey; his grandchildren, Kevin, Dena Lee, Scott, Jamie McLeod, Allison, Noah Kelley, Joe and Swofford; his great grandchildren, Hannah, Nicholas McLeod, Jordyn Swofford, Dallas, Jenny and Dakota Baker; and his cousins, Jerry Hartzog and Sam Condrey. He is also survived by many other cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
