He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Thomas and Edna Swilling Moon; and his son Michael Payton. He is survived by: his wife Adina Fulllington Moon; his sons, David Payton, Aaron Moon (Sandra), Joseph Moon (Amanda) and George Moon, Jr. (Christy); his grandchildren, Malaya Moon, Camden Moon, Samantha Franklin, Atalie Ivey, Tiffany, Kattie, Austin Moon, Adrian, Andrew Payton, Tyler, Courtney Payton, Luke Duncan and Justin Bailey; his great grandchildren, Makenzie Mack, Braylen, Layla Gilliam, Allianna and Aniyah; his brother Thomas Moon; and his aunt Mildred Hagood.
