With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Margaret Ellen Childs Oakley (Elberton, Georgia), who passed away on September 12, 2020 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Cecil Odell Oakley, Sr.; her parents, William Edgar Childs, Sr. and Fannie Mae Scott Childs; her daughters, Priscilla O. Madden (Henry Madden) and Patricia O. Howell (Lonnie Howell); and her siblings, William Edgar Childs, Jr. and Essie Mae Childs.
She is survived by: her son Cecil O. Oakley, Jr. (Haley Oakley); her grandchildren, Michael Madden, Michele Hall, Jody Howell, Julie Wheeler, Kyle Oakley, Katie Buresh, Kellie Oakley and Kaycie Oakley; and her siblings, Jeweldine Childs Chambers and Thomas Banks Childs. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Flowers are accepted and contributions may be made in her memory to Woodlawn United Methodist Church Building Fund.
