He is survived by: his parent Tommie Lee Taylor Gaines; his sister Jane McCall; his brother-in-law Tom McCall; his sibling's children, Katie McCall (Bristol Archer) and Al McCall (Rachel); his sons, Winn and Wilkes; and his friends, Abernathy Circle and Elberton. He is also survived by friends and extended family.
