He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Lee Shewmake and Marilyn Peck Shewmake; and his brother Brian Shewmake. He is survived by: his children, Lee Shewmake (Sian) of Annapolis, MD, Zack Shewmake of Milledgeville, GA, Marie Brown of Ray City, GA, Laura Bailey (Daniel) of Cordele, GA and Steffanee Shewmake of Buena Vista, GA; his sisters, Judy Gattis (Danny) of Ellaville and Leslie Barbaree (Mark) of Cummings, GA; and his siblings' children, Kerri Barbaree, Jenny Frantz (Adam) and Chris Gattis (Misty). He is also survived by nine grandchildren and one great grandchild.
