We are sad to announce that on June 30, 2020, at the age of 84, Hilsman Sumner of Ellenton, Georgia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Joe Brown Sumner; his sons, Joe G. Sumner and Stephen McClendon; and his siblings, Elton Sumner and Annell Beck.
He is survived by: his daughters, Lucinda R. Carter (Ron) of Chapin, SC and Sabrina S. Shiver (Steve) of St. Simon Island, GA; his siblings, Kevin Sumner of Moultrie and Jarell Baker (Ronald) of Ellenton; and his former wife Shirley Miller Sumner of Douglas, GA. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren.
