She was predeceased by: her parents, Christine Johnson Bowers and Donald Bowers. She is survived by: her pet Brutus; her husband Steven "Steve" M. Barbaree of Ellerslie, Georgia; her children, Nicolas Edward Foster of Ellerslie and Alawyn Christine Foster (Milena Laura) of LaGrange, Georgia; and her siblings, Rick Bowers (Tina) of Kalispell and Chris Bowers (MayMay) of Bushnell, Florida.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be given to St. Thomas Episcopal Church or the American Cancer Society.
