She was predeceased by: her parents, Johnie Kirkland and Dorothy Kirkland (Corn) of Virginia; and her siblings, Glenda K. Bridges and J. D. Kirkland. She is survived by: her husband Bill Parks of Ellijay, GA; her daughters, Shana Parks of Ellijay, GA and Sheree (Jason Hyde); her granddaughter Jaciana Hyde; and her siblings, Ginger Salle' of Canton, GA, Nanette (Ronald Knight), Beverly (Tommy Prince), Trish Kirkland of Flowery Branch, GA and Jimmie Kirkland of San Francisco, CA. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Flowers are being accepted or donations can be made in Brenda's memory to the Christian Learning Center.
