It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Douglas Hawkins Jr. of Ellijay, Georgia, born in Albany, Georgia, who passed away on February 1, 2021, at the age of 56, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his parents, James Hawkins Sr. and Rozelle Oxyer Hawkins; his children, Jimmy Hawkins (April) of Spartanburg, S. C and Mary Bryant (Michael) of Douglasville; his close friend Margie Gentry; and his siblings, Don Hawkins of Spartanburg, S. C, Dewayne Hawkins of Albany and Sandy Lawson.
