He was predeceased by: his parents, James Joseph Hairston and Elsie Verlie Hairston. He is survived by: his son Joe; his daughter-in-law Jennifer Hairston; his daughter Jennifer; his son-in-law Larry Wolfe; his brother James Hairston; his grandchildren, Jacob Hairston, Hannah Hairston, Isaac Hairston, Nate Wolfe (Madeline) and Joel Wolfe; and his great grandchild Eris.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 7th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Bernhardt Funeral Home (163 River St, Ellijay, GA 30540). A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, December 7th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Safe Choice Pregnancy Care Center at 220 Sailors Dr. Ellijay, GA 30540.
