He was predeceased by: his parents, Jerry Patterson and Mildred Gillespie Patterson; and his siblings, Wesley Paterson and Denise Griggs. He is survived by: his daughters, Marina and Millie Patterson; his siblings, Billy Gillespie (Ameris), Eddie Patterson (Darlene), Tina Pendley (Hugh), Ramona Ledford (Eddie) and Talitha Rogers; and his siblings' children, Billy Gillespie Jr., Angelica Gillespie, Kyle Tatum, Chandler Tatum, Boaz Gillespie, Nathan Ledford, Nicole Ledford and Lydia Rogers.
