She was predeceased by : her parents, John Wilson and Fannie Mae Smith Wilson; her husband Lacy Stewart; her daughter Andrea Burgess Shoemaker; and her brother Phillip Wilson.

She is survived by : her sons, Hugh Burgess of Ellijay and Daniel Burgess of Ellijay; and her sister-in-law Annette Wilson. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
