It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rilla Welch Nelson of Ellijay, Georgia, who passed away on October 15, 2021, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Harley Chastain and Myrtle Dotson Chastain; her husbands, Billy Welch and Cliff Nelson; and her daughter Diane Welch.

She is survived by: her daughters, Delores Welch Hunter (Jeff), Debbie Welch Fountain (Sanford) and Donna Welch Burnett. She is also survived by 5 Grandchildren, 5 Great- Grandchildren and 2 Great-Great Grandchildren.
